About Judy Kan

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Having worked in the non-profit sector for over two decades, Judy specializes in grant-making, resource mobilisation and leadership. She is committed to bringing a deep understanding of community-driven changes and the philanthropic sector.

As the Executive Director of HER Fund since 2018, Judy has built the local community fund into an engine for marginalized women and gender diversity’s equity and advancement in Hong Kong. As the former Board member of Prospera - International Network of Women's Funds and the former Advisory Board member of the Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, she has multiple connections with foundations and high-net worth individuals with shared belief in purpose-led transformation.

She is also one of the co-founders of Voice for Social Good, a NGO women’s leader group for funders especially in Hong Kong and Singapore to approach and engage their non-profit partners with holistic support. Her leadership and advocacy were recognized by the 2023 Tatler Asia – Front & Female Awards (Hong Kong).

At Crateva, Judy focuses on providing leadership and mentoring support to the management team, and strategic planning for non-profit and foundations.

Judy was born and raised in a grassroots family in Hong Kong. She has developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and cuisines, often enjoying food from around the world and engaging with a wide circle of friends. She also finds great solace in nature, particularly enjoys long walks in lush, verdant settings, where the surrounding trees and greenery provide a sense of peace and nourishment for her heart and mind.
